Basic Principles to Achieve Improvement on Health

1. Universal access to basic health services must be ensured.
The poor, undeserved, and the marginalized are prioritized for health services by the government. Ensuring these sector groups that they will be served for their basic health needs for medical and other related health reasons.

2. The health and nutrition of vulnerable groups must be prioritized.
Access to care must be addressed for health status to significantly improve such as primary health care, day-care center and other related health services that would reduce the malnutrition incidence in their respective community.

3. The epidemiologic shift from infectious to degenerative disease must be managed.
Due to the changes of disease that afflicted the people from infectious to degenerative, the government has devised strategies and technologies that would promote effective and efficient monitoring disease prevention and control programs for all kinds of diseases. Immunization is one program of the government to ensure protection from contracting diseases among infants, children, and elderly, and those vulnerable individuals.

4. The performance of the health sector must be enhanced.
In view of the devolution of health services, health education was transferred to the Local Government units. Non-government organizations, the academe, the media, the private sector, and other agencies of government are helping the delivery of public health programs. Social health insurance must be expanded in scope and coverage to reduce family and out-of-pocket expenditures for personal health care.

4.    Psychoanalysis
Gain of insight into behavior through talking.

5.    Rational Emotive Therapy
A Therapy that is helping the alcoholic learn to tolerate the stressors that come with living and to use coping mechanism that is less self-defeating.

6.    Tranquilizers
These drugs are used ion management of alcoholism to facilitate psychotherapy and lessen anxiety.

7.    Transactional Analysis
The alcoholic is advised to stop playing games. Instead, he is advised to rewrite his life script.

According to medical professionals, alcoholism is not just a social and behavioral problem, but a chronic, progressive, and sometimes fatal disease. Drug tolerance, physical dependency, and disease-like changes in body organs mark it. An alcohol cannot quit the habit, as they are usually alcohol dependent. They create problem by usually hiding bottle of alcohol drinks in places where it cannot be found by other members of the family.

How to Prevent Alcoholism

1.    If you have not started drinking, then don’t.
2.    If you have started the drinking habits, control it, rather than let the drinking control you.
3.    Think of the beneficial effects of not drinking for your health and future.
4.    Do not be influence by your peers.
5.    Stay wise and educated before anything happens to you.
6.    Value your life, health, and family as drinking habits may destroy your well being.

How to Take Care of Your Reproductive Organs

The age at which boys and girls become capable of reproduction is called puberty or adolescence. During this period, the male reproductive organs produce sperm cells, while the female reproductive organs produce egg cells. These organs also produce sex hormones.

Male hormones give boys the male characteristics. Female hormones give girls female characteristics. Sex hormones go with the blood to the different parts of the body. They cause changes in the body of the adolescent boys and girls. The changes that take place in the teenage boys and girls are normal. They are part of the growing process. Therefore, when these changes happen to you, accept them and do not be ashamed of them.

There are also certain changes in your body that you are capable of becoming a parent. The start of menstruation means that a girl is already capable of having a baby. This is the time to be extra careful in taking care of yourself. Be conscious of how you behave to avoid sending wrong signals. It is important that you maintain a wholesome and respectable image among you friends and classmates. To be of high moral characteristics is what is expected of young boys and girls in a good and wholesome environment.


Care of the Reproductive Organs

You reproductive organs area s important as the other parts of your body such as the face, nose, ears, hands and legs. You should take good care of them.

How do you take care of your reproductive organs? Here are some ways to do it:

1.    Clean your external sex organs every day. Wash them with soap and wash them after using the toilet.
2.    Change your underwear as often as necessary. What your underwear immediately after use.
3.    Keep your clean underwear in a clean place. Make sure they do not get any dirt or germs before you use them.

What about girls, how do you take care of yourselves when you are menstruating?

Every girl has her own menstrual cycle. During her cycle, she should take care of herself. She should keep herself clean.  She should take her daily shower. A warm shower is good. She should sleep well and rest. She should not play active games and do vigorous exercise when she is menstruation. But this does not mean that she should act like a sick girl during this period.
A girl may use sanitary napkins that are sold in stores. They should be wrapped very well and disposed properly. They should not be flushed in the toilet bowls.
