How to Take Care of Your Reproductive Organs

The age at which boys and girls become capable of reproduction is called puberty or adolescence. During this period, the male reproductive organs produce sperm cells, while the female reproductive organs produce egg cells. These organs also produce sex hormones.

Male hormones give boys the male characteristics. Female hormones give girls female characteristics. Sex hormones go with the blood to the different parts of the body. They cause changes in the body of the adolescent boys and girls. The changes that take place in the teenage boys and girls are normal. They are part of the growing process. Therefore, when these changes happen to you, accept them and do not be ashamed of them.

There are also certain changes in your body that you are capable of becoming a parent. The start of menstruation means that a girl is already capable of having a baby. This is the time to be extra careful in taking care of yourself. Be conscious of how you behave to avoid sending wrong signals. It is important that you maintain a wholesome and respectable image among you friends and classmates. To be of high moral characteristics is what is expected of young boys and girls in a good and wholesome environment.


Care of the Reproductive Organs

You reproductive organs area s important as the other parts of your body such as the face, nose, ears, hands and legs. You should take good care of them.

How do you take care of your reproductive organs? Here are some ways to do it:

1.    Clean your external sex organs every day. Wash them with soap and wash them after using the toilet.
2.    Change your underwear as often as necessary. What your underwear immediately after use.
3.    Keep your clean underwear in a clean place. Make sure they do not get any dirt or germs before you use them.

What about girls, how do you take care of yourselves when you are menstruating?

Every girl has her own menstrual cycle. During her cycle, she should take care of herself. She should keep herself clean.  She should take her daily shower. A warm shower is good. She should sleep well and rest. She should not play active games and do vigorous exercise when she is menstruation. But this does not mean that she should act like a sick girl during this period.
A girl may use sanitary napkins that are sold in stores. They should be wrapped very well and disposed properly. They should not be flushed in the toilet bowls.
